Nescafé EMENA | 2017 Convention
Challenge
In order to embed the new Nescafé EMENA identity into employees’ spirits, we were challenged to create a concept that would generate and strengthen the emotional ties between all the participants for an event that, in addition to the meeting component, would feature a powerful team building initiative.
Concept
Under the motto “JUNTOS” (TOGETHER), we created an event entirely dedicated to what unites Nescafé EMENA employees: coffee and teamwork. That’s how we set the challenge of setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of espressos made in one hour.
Results
On February 17, at the Tróia Design Hotel Conference Center, Nestlé Portugal broke the Guinness World Record for having made 21,000 espressos in one hour. This record had been previously held by a team of UK baristas with 12,003 espressos.
In the words of Victor Manuel Martins, Business Executive Officer of Nescafé EMENA Portugal, “this accomplishment shows the true team spirit that lives within Nestlé and that allows us to overcome all the daily challenges we encounter.”
