Academia Expert | e-Learning platform
Challenge
To create an online learning platform for people with type 1 diabetes, their caregivers and family members. This platform would need to be intuitive, innovative and dynamic, but also enabled to teach the target audience carbohydrate counting and how to calculate their insulin dose.
We developed Academia Expert – a learning platform with educational content, evaluation methods and tools to help people on their daily routines.
A gamification component was integrated in order to maximize the target audience’s engagement, by giving them incentives to complete the e-learning modules.
By integrating gaming techniques with a point system we challenge users to reach the number one spot on the type 1 diabetes Experts ranking.
Rollout
Academia Expert was launched in 2016’s second half and is being presented to the healthcare community so Healthcare Professionals are able to recommend it to their patients.
